There are three distinct files, defined as follows: Indiana_COVID_M&M_Overall.csv This file contains population-level data on COVID-19 testing, morbidity, and mortality data for Indiana residents, stratified by various characteristics such as age and sex. The file contains a row for each characteristic analyzed in the study. The row contains the population denominator, which represents 2018 Census estimates for the population of Indiana corresponding to that characteristic. Each row further contains counts for the number of individuals in Indiana tested for COVID-19, confirmed to have COVID-19, hospitalized for COVID-19, or died from COVID-19 corresponding to that characteristic. These counts are further used to calculate per capita rates (rate per 100,000) for each characteristic. The data in this file pertain to the entire study period of March 6, 2020 thru December 31, 2020. Indiana_COVID_M&M_Phase.csv This file contains population-level data on COVID-19 testing, morbidity, and mortality data for Indiana residents, stratified by various characteristics such as age and sex during each of the three distinct time periods analyzed in the study. The file contains a row for each characteristic analyzed in the study. The row contains the population denominator, which represents 2018 Census estimates for the population of Indiana corresponding to that characteristic. Each row further contains counts for the number of individuals in Indiana tested for COVID-19, confirmed to have COVID-19, hospitalized for COVID-19, or died from COVID-19 corresponding to that characteristic for each of the three time periods. These counts are further used to calculate per capita rates (rate per 100,000) for each characteristic during each time period. Indiana_COVID_M&M_Geography.csv This file contains population-level data on COVID-19 testing, morbidity, and mortality data for Indiana residents, stratified by urban and rural locations. For this file, we grouped county-level data into urban versus rural areas for analysis. The file contains the denominaor counts for each population group along with the testing, morbidity, and mortality counts. It further contains calculated rates per 100,000 population (per capita) rates. These data are used in the publication for Figures 2 and 3.
